artificial or real fingernails?
« on: October 29, 2010, 04:52:26 am »
I have never had fake nails and I really don't want them ... too expensive and they damage your own nails. I have enough problems with my nails as they are.

We have natural treatment for nails that is mehendi usually east side country shops will have it. It turns your nail red in color but it is good for nails. Just try and google it for more information. You can get it very easily. People even put it to hair

real.  without question.  no desire for acrylics or gels after having watched the troubles my friends have had, not mention the expense of upkeep.  egads.

I like artificial, only because my nails break and i can never grow them long! & I think they make my hands look better.

Fake nails are not good for you.  I went to nail school and believe me they damage your real nails.  when you apply the fake ones your natural nails loose the ability to breathe properly and tend to get infected or disintegrate.  if you must have fake ones my advice would be to get silk wrap nails.  they are the lesser of the evils.

I can't stand people with dragon lady long fingernails. And yes wearing fake nails will yellow and damage your natural nails.

I prefer my real nails. I used to wear fake ones, but I would always break one or two ... so annoying having to find time to get one nail fixed. The upkeep for me got expensive

I do a lot of work with my hands, and have problems with fungal infections.  Fake nails just aren't an option for me.  But I do think they're cute.

i had acrylic nails for my wedding -- they were impossible to maintain - my  real nails grow fast and tend to curl at the end - I could easily get them filled weekly due to that -- very expensive

Au naturel is always best. For me caring for fingernails is quick and easy and it doesn’t have to be expensive. I just clip and file my nails with the nail filer. I never use anything artificial. I don’t recommend biting them. If nails are brittle, it’s a clear indication of poor nutrition.

Do not use artificial fingernails!...unless it is a special party. Take good care of your real ones. Make sure you feed them good oils and proteins...you will be happy at the results!
