I am very happy all those ads are off the air as I was getting tired of them. Time can only tell if the change of power will make a difference and change the future of the Country. I have a couple of questions for you tantricia44, did you vote? Why are you getting so upset with other people's point of view? We all see things differently and have a right to our points of view whether it is positive or negative. No one called you any names, so why the name calling? I appreciate your point of view regarding Obama, but I don't agree with it like so many others.  :peace:

Intimidation and name calling doesn't take much grey matter tantricia44.

Everyone has the right to vote the dictates of their own hearts and minds.  That's what makes America and her people great.....not stupid.  It's called Democracy.  Anyone has the right to vote totally opposite of their neighbor if they deem so.

If we are "strong armed" into voting with just one set of choices, then that would be viewed as a Dictatorship.  If that's the kind of regime you think is appropriate, your in the wrong country.  People are dying in other countries for the right to vote, and we have it freely.

I'm Republican, but voted some Independent this election.  I most definitely voted against Obama in the 2008 election.  That doesn't make me stupid, that makes me an American exercising my right as an American Citizen that want's my voice heard at the polls.  A right that was given to me by the sacrifice of many so that I can have that voice.  You throwing a verbal tantrum and calling people idiots, whores, punks, morons, etc., just because they didn't vote like you did is unbelievable!

Freedom at the polls is just one of the many things that make this Nation great, and it's people great.

Amen to that. I'm excited about what might get done now. Obama has done nothing but make things worse and all he can say is "it's not going to get better overnight". Screw overnight, you aren't getting anything done in years. Thank God the Americans stood up and in their votes said we don't want your crap anymore.
HELLO STUPID AMERICANS! You are nothing but an inpatient American brat. You're too use to instant, super speed, instant access. It takes longer to fix what bush had destroyed for the past 8yrs. What I can't understand is why you stupid americans voted for him again therefore here we are in his *bleep* hole of a mess in which poor president obama is trying to clean up. After the elections i just learned that we got a surplus of approx. $25 billion & several thousands of jobs developed in the last 18 months during Obama's 18 months in office. Too bad Obama is just too humble to brag about what he's done & you're too much of a bimbo, idiot to not use your brain or no brain at all & listen to those psycho tea party republicans to understand that you just put into the House Bush's policies back in republican's hands. You moron. If I was President Obama, I'd throw in the towel & let you all just CRASH & BURN WITH YOUR REPUBLICAN WHORES!!!! Grow up little PUNK,  you didn't even exist when all this began. Your mother should have saved the world & got rid of your brainless little body b4 it suck up wasted air here on earth. Ok, I've vented. Have day.
I thought you were an American, too.  Why are you calling us stupid?  Does that mean you are the same?  Is it because some people don't have the same views you do, so because of that they are stupid?  That's not very mature of you if that's what that means...
WE HAD THE SAME VIEWS, THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT THE IMMATURE AMERICANS JUST DON'T HAVE THE PATIENCE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS. READ BETWEEN THE LINES THOSE WHO HAVE TURNED ON THEIR OWN PARTIES ARE SPOILED & WANT INSTANT GRATIFICATION. YOU WANT IT ALL RIGHT NOW WHEN YOU KNOW THAT THE PAST PRESIDENTS COULDN'T  DO THE SAME & THE VOTERS RESPONDED THE SAME WAY. SWITCHING TO THE ENEMY. I'M CALLING THE AMERICANS THAT USE EMOTION INSTEAD OF LOGIC STUPID. WHEN YOU VOTE USING STRONG FEELINGS & BLIND EMOTION YOU'RE NO BETTER THAN A CHICKEN WITH NO HEAD. I'M GREATLY DISAPPOINT IN THE AMERICAN PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY FELL FOR THE REPUBLICAN'S & THE TEA PARTIES' LIES & SCARE TACTICS TO TURN THE VOTERS. I GUESS I JUST EXPECTED TOO MUCH.  I hope you get what voted for because if you think the republicans will work with the dems & the president that would be a pipe dream. Just remember that if the republicans are really for the people they'd work with the president. All i'm hearing from them is that they want to take the president down that they want him to fail. How is that being for the people? If they hurt the president they also hurt us & vice versa.

Regardless tantrica44.  It's a choice, and America gave us that choice.

Have you been following the News about Myanmar?  Here's a classic example of the Government stealing the election from the people, and lots of people were/are being killed because that freedom of choice was taken away, and their rebelling.

Life is full of people who don't agree with us. The Gov't. is just one sector.  However, everyone has the right to vote or make their decisions based on what they know, or how they perceive things.  If we think they are misinformed, and don't vote correctly (according to us), it still gives them a voice as an American, and their inalienable right to exercise that voice at the polls.  Are you saying we should take the vote away from certain people?  Then, as I said before, you have a Dictatorship, not a Democracy.

No, the Gov't isn't perfect, and no one has done the perfect job (Republican, Democrat, Independent, etc.).  I know many people who do not use strong feelings or emotions to vote.  I myself study all the issues and candidates before I go to the polls.  So do the majority of responsible voters.  Yes, some of my decisions were made on things I saw done, and undone.  I could go into it, but that's not what my post is about.  The tea parties did not influence me anymore than anything else.  I take all the information, and vote the dictates of MY heart and mind.  Since I'm very conservative, that does have some bearing on my vote.  If someone else is very liberal, and votes different than I do, well, that is their right to do so, without me coming down on them.  I may not like it, but I'm happy that we both have the freedom to oppose or approve whatever.  That's what makes America great, we ALL have the right to choose whatever we deem correct.

Wow, great response.  I could not have said it any better.

I like your use of Myanmar as a perfect example.  I hate using the name Myanmar, because it really is still called Burma by most of its people.  Of cousrs, the government even took the real name away.

It is an interesting time.  I get involved in local politics as well and lots of areas had their regulars voted out.  I am glad to see the people following what congress and city councils are doing.  I have worked for federal goverment, state governmnet, and local government and have seen waste in all three.  Local politics is nastier and I guess it is because you know who they are trying to destroy.

So from your statements I am led to believe that you are NOT an American. Please feel free to leave my country and go back to whatever third world piece of crap country you came from. Your a rude obnoxious person who has not one ounce of class.

I find it kind of amusing that although we all want the same outcome, we have to resort to being so immature as to resort to name calling and just plain old being a big baby.  I don't care if the person in office is Republican or Democrat-I just want them to do what is right for the country and for all of us.

Ah, but there in lies the problem. Your view of what you think might be best may be completely different than my view.

I mean, me personally with my libetarian leanings, wants government involved as little as possible and let the markets and buisness take care of things without interventions. If you make a crappy product, then you shouldn't be bailed out. I don't want mandated health insurance, I don't want billions of dollars going to build tunnels for turtles, I don't want the government worrying about who is married.

I mean, personally I don't want the government telling me what I can or can't do with what I put into my body. I could keep going, but I think you get the general idea.

Listen, Republicans aren't going to do jack but what they've done for the past 2 years- block everything Obama and the Democrats try to get done.  They don't care about governing, they care about making Obama a one-term president so that they can regain power so that they can continue to steal from normal, working people and give it to the rich and powerful like they always do.  And not to paint with too broad a brush, but if you think they're going to make things better, you're a fool.

For those who say Obama is a socialist:  stop watching Fox and listening to Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, and actually figure out what the term means.
I respectfully disagree with you.

Judging by their actions, I'd say I'm spot-on.
