I have one.  She and I do dressage together and I ride her as often as  I can-right now it's been about 4-5 times per week, but before I started my new job it was 5-6 times per week.

Oh my, piaffe/passage transitions and cantered zig-zags.....
Half pass, count, change
Half pass, count, change
count, half pass, change
count, change, half pass
change, half pass, COUNT you idiot, lol!

I started dressage at around 8 or 9. My grandfather bred/trained horses, so I was exposed to their quiet joy at a very young age. There is absolutely nothing I have found to compare with that feeling of being completed synced with and led by a horses movements. You know what I mean by that I'm sure - we only give the 'hints' and they reward us with perfect balance and accuracy. What is more beautiful that a perfect Flying Change? After uncountable hours of doing it wrong, getting the wrong canter lead into a circle, not even knowing how to switch rein hands without looking the complete fool...that's my beginning experience anyway and I'm sticking to my story! :P ;D I have to say I don't come across too many on a public forum who know what it is, let alone ride dressage. What a cool surprise. ;)

I have never had the resources to purchase a horse. If I had one, I would probably ride daily, if the weather isn't inclement or cold. I don't like cold. brrr.

I love horses, just can't afford one(the horse or the up keep). My daughter would love to have one too. I miss the days where I got to ride every day, I even helped teach horsemanship. Those were the days!

I don't have a horse but I rode one once. Friends of my grandparents had 3 and I think when I was like 8 or so we went riding down the trail by their house.

when i was younger, ages 5 to 7 or so, my dad used to do some work for this guy who had a ranch near where we lived in oregon. he had the most beautiful horse named cinnamon. his wife really liked me so while my dad worked, she would take me out, taught me how to care for her and let me ride the horse. i have never had my own horse but for those 2 years i pretended cinnamon was mine :)

don't have one-have seen several up close and been able to pet them, but not ride-I would love to someday, in a controlled environment.  Definitely would not want to fall off of one or anything like that.

I've only ridden a horse one time and it was not a pleasant experience.  I kind of wished I was raised around horses.  I find them interesting.
