better to be paid by check or direct deposit?

I have never done check or direct deposit but from what I hear Direct Deposits are the second fastest method of payment.  PayPal being the fastest and checks taking the longest.  I have used PayPal from the first day I joined FC and often my payments are in my account a few days early before the 20th but always on the 20th if not before.  From what I have heard direct deposits only take a couple days I think it really depends on your bank.  Our bank is really slow with crediting stuff so I went with PayPal and the free PayPal debit card for my payments.

I use paypal so I don't know about the checks.  I guess its about the same amount of time for each one maybe just a day or two difference most likely.  But either one is okay.  Been using paypal for all my survey groups that offer it.  So glad FC was offering it as an option.

I'm so happy that there are so many different ways to get paid.  it's great.  I think getting paid by check would take a lot longer, obviously, because it has to go through the mail and whatnot.  Personally, i love holding the actual check in my hand.  it's such a great feeling of satisfaction for me.  :p

Direct deposit works best for me. Checks definitely take the longest and there is a little higher chance that it can get lost and would be harder to track if something went wrong. Some people prefer to use copies of the checks to show potential referrals the actual payments though.

I use direct deposit myself.  It is faster than a check, which means I can spend it on whatever I need to sooner.

I am not sure about the Paypal fee as I don't use paypal for here.  But I think I heard it is free.

its so muh easier to ge paid by direct deposit you dont have to where bout waiting for a check or a huge fee coming out ur check for cashing it.

If you have a checking account to receive a direct deposit in, then there's not going to be any fee for depositing the check. The only way you'd get a fee is if you didn't have a checking account, and in that circumstance direct deposit isn't an option for you anyway. The paper checks have never taken more than 1 day to get to me by mail, so it's not much of an inconvenience. Then again, I'm one of those increasingly rare people who gets paid by check rather than direct deposit for work, so going by the bank is already on my list of errands. FC doesn't cause any extra trips for me.

I think paypal would be worth your while i've had paypal since the first day i've joined. and with paypal you can transfer your money into your bank account. That's why i really chose it. I've heard alot of people have chosen paypal and it's usually in your account quicker than anything else. I hope that helped you.

I opted to get checks too, and my first cashout I received on the 23rd of October, so it didn't take that long. I opted for checks, for a while anyway, so that I will have actual images of my checks for proof to potential referrals. After I've gotten a few checks for that purpose, I may switch to PayPal.

I just joined the site today,  but I did read the information on how we are paid. Since we are paid on about the 20th of the month after we cash out, the post says to be paid by check, you will receive it on approximately the 30th. However, if you choose direct deposit, you should see the cash out in your account on about the 25th. So I chose direct deposit just to be a little quicker. Hope that helps!

I've used PAYPAL most of the time.

I tried direct deposit when PAYPAL changed their fees structure and started charging for incoming monies.  Then I discovered that FC deposits are not charged those fees (they are paid under a mass pay arrangement so FC is paying the fee rather than you), so I switched back.

The only problem I had with direct deposit is that I had to search my bank statement to find the deposit to confirm it came in.  Not a real problem, but PAYPAL is easier.

If you are a member of other GPT or PTC sites, most of them provide for payment via PAYPAL, so if you have it for one, might just as well use it for all of those who cover the deposit fees.  Personal PAYPAL accounts are free, but are subject to maximum total monthly transaction amounts ($400).

That is correct! I LOVE being paid via paypal! I get paid the very day payments are sent out and I earn cash back all of my purchases with my paypal debit card !!!
