Good evening.  What a lazy day I've had.  I did do a little housework but have pretty much just played games and visited with my son.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Hello Kim!

Busy day, here - but nice.  We all worked hard this morning sprucing up (dusting, mopping, vacuuming, clearing out clutter, etc.)  My father-in-law and step-mother-in-law came from out of town for the day.  Our next door neighbors came over to meet them and show off their little puppies.  We had the windows open for the cool and fresh air - beautiful day!

I'm really late getting on - just now getting to.  I'm glad you had a lazy day - you needed it and deserved it.  I hope your son is doing well and that you had a great visit together.

Remember one of the reasons I dropped the charges against dil and her mom, was because our son was up for promotion to Officer (Navy?)  (The other reason was for seeing the girls, which dil still won't agree to, even though she and her mom did the destroying and theft.)  Anyway, Veronica found out on FB, through a mutual friend, that he did get promoted.  He's not told us at all.  I'm glad for him but can't even tell him.

Have a sweet Sunday, okay?

Julie  :)

Julie,

I'm sorry that the problem with you son is still ongoing.  Did the preacher ever get his visit with them?

I've been doing house and homework again today.  My son is still here but we're both pretty lazy for some reason.  The weather was wonderful today.  I hope this good weather stays.

I'm late getting on here today too.  Talk later.

Julie,

Just an observation but I think I need to take a serious break from the games.  It has become an obsession that I don't really have time for.  It's not very productive!  I'd be better served by getting back into my genealogy files.  I'm not sure if I don't play for a while if things will pile up really badly.  What was your experience when you broke for a while?

Good morning Kim,

I'm still kind of broken from them.  I think I got to the point like you, being addicted to them, however, I was trying to keep up with too many games.  So I got burnt out.  I still really like them, especially a couple, but with this depression phase, I've got no big pull for a lot of things right now, not just the games.  I will go in about once a week now (usually the weekends) and play a quick Ravenwood and Ravenskye, part of Zoo World, and part of Birdland.  Then I try to send and accept all of the requests made by players (on most all of my games) so they get things they are requesting.  I'm still behind but keeping up a tad.  I know if I get to the point of really attacking the games again, I will have many missions to catch up with, but with these games, I've learned you can catch up slowly but surely.  Ravenwood, of course, those trees can really grow back unless your fair is pretty full of things.  Ravenskye may pile up on missions, but none of the weeds and stones grow back.  I've got several missions with Skye that I'm behind on, but doing a couple at a time will work.

I know you are at a busy time with interning and school classes, so I know things can really get hectic.  Plus, I know you are trying to work on the genealogy files.  Many people, I've learned, are on here all day and/or night, playing and interacting.  It's kind of like their lifeline.  But some have to work and do other things, and so have to get to the point of mixing fun with reality.  Speaking of work, I have to sub on hubby's bus for 3 weeks since the monitor is having surgery today.  That will help pad my pocket a little.

Bon went in and totally blocked the preacher friend and his family from them.  I just can't understand why he's doing this and turning his back like this.  I'm really trying hard, and some days I do pretty good.  Then others, I am so low and weepy, that I have to take a xanax to calm things down.  It triggers my asthma with the wheezing, then the coughing, then a headache.  But I am trying.

I hope you work out a happy medium with the games, whether avoiding them, playing a couple of favorites, and/or helping with requests - it can be done with a compromise.  Let me know.

Have a great start to the week!  ((Hugs)) to you!

Julie  :)

Dianna,

I'm praying for the best for your daughter.  Might is a big word so let's pray that the prediction isn't true.

Julie,

Have you written to Randall and asked him exactly what his beef is?  You already know what Bon's take is on the situation.  I'm just at a loss as to what advice to give you or what to say to give you hope.  Just know I care.

Rushing around this morning.  I have to get to the bank early.....a situation...:)

Hope all will be okay with your daughter.  They should be able to tell more at the recheck.  My niece has it, since a younger teenager, had surgery and has a rod in her back.  My nephew is like your daughter is - he's got to go back for a recheck, I believe in about a month now.  That's neat about your sales!!  Take care of you, too!  ((Hugs!!))

Hi Kim,

I have thought about writing him a letter.  A couple of people, including a former pastor who knows him, have suggested it.  Roddy's the one wanting me to hold off a bit on it, because of the way our son wouldn't acknowledge the birthday text I sent, nor the FB birthday pm I sent - in fact, that's when I was totally blocked on FB.  He could have answered my text with at least a thank you.  The one on FB, though, could have been her blocking, just to be spiteful.  I believe I may end up soon, and when I do, I am sending it c/o his base - no way do I want her hands to get it and read it and throw it out.  I just want to see and hug my granddaughters above anything else at this point.  And he knows that...

I have been overly fatigued today.  I'm subbing on Roddy's bus as the monitor this week and the next 2 weeks.  When we came home in between the morning and afternoon routes, I could not focus nor stay awake (maybe the pain pill?)  Roddy had a hard time waking me up to go back for the afternoon route.  I struggled on the bus.  When we got home later, I got on here to answer you and some other things, and fell asleep with my hand on the mouse, with many lines of letters.  That looked funny, lol.  I'm getting ready to head to bed, early, too.  Maybe the working is doing me in, too, I don't know.

Hope your bank situation is okay.  Have a nice day at work.  Hope to talk later!

Julie  :)

Julie,

Being that sleepy is difficult.  It probably is the meds causing the problem, in addition to working the extra hours.

I think the letter is a good thing.  Just take your time and make sure you've said everything you need to say and ask him to at least give you the courtesy of a response.  The silence is deafening.

I got the bank thing straightened out.  I let myself run too close in the one account and had to get money in there quickly to cover it.  The bank wasn't open so I put cash in the ATM machine in an envelope.  Then I got a text message saying a deposit was made but the amount didn't match what I had put in.  I guess they only show a partial credit until later in the afternoon.  Anyhow...all is well.

Later sweetie.  I have to get a shower and do some other housey types of things before I start my day in the "rest of world".

Hi Kim,

I'm glad the bank thing was straightened out for you.  That's not fun when it gets out of whack.

As for the letter, I think the deep down fear is he won't acknowledge the letter.  But, I'm going to work on it and then speak with Roddy about when I should send it.  Most of the family have pretty much decided that if that's what he wants, then fine.  I can only partially agree with that, but with the girls, I can't just give up on it.

I'm still struggling with the fatigue, hopefully it will improve.  How have you been doing?

Later, my friend,

Julie  :)

Julie,

I agree with you.  If you can just work out some sort of compromise to get to see the girls then you can perhaps learn to let go of any additional interaction with your son.  Even that wouldn't be easy but you'd have the satisfaction of knowing that it wasn't you who had done the wrong.

I'm just worn out.  My son is here with me and he is dealing with issues, which become mine by default, and I'm burning the candle at both ends with school/internship in addition to taking care of the home.  As a matter of fact I'm taking off from two morning classes today just as a mental health day.  I haven't missed any school and the two classes aren't really mandatory more than once a week anyhow.  I'll still go in to the office from 1:30 until 4:30 or so.

I'm really seeing health care from a new perspective.  I can't really discuss things here on this board but wow....

TTYL,

Kim

Kim,

I feel for you.  You do have a lot on you.  It's very draining on a person, physically, mentally, and emotionally; for some - even spiritually.  We need to catch up through email or a phone call.  I agree with you about seeing health care from a different perspective.

I hope things improve with your son.  That's a lot of worry, too.  I'm sorry to hear he's still having a time.

I'll have to catch you up on my "screening" this month with my Life Coach (for the depression.)  A couple of things she spoke with me about doing and she is sending an evaluation to my PCP.

I hope taking off this morning helps give you a little downtime and a little extra rest.  Hope this afternoon works well for you.  When does Bob get back?  We should call; I just don't want to call and pull you from when he's there.  When's a good time for you?

Keep hanging in there;  I'm thinking of you!
