I don't have a specific recipe for you, but there's only one way to eat a turkey-deep fried.

I think Reynolds makes a turkey bag of some sort that they sell in the grocery stores. apparently you season the turkey as you would normally but put the turkey in the bag and then in the oven. The bag seals in the juices!

Fried turkey is good.  It takes the proper equipment, and knowhow to do it right.

You can also roast your turkey breast down in the oven.  This makes all the juices run to the white meat, as dark meat is naturally moist as it is.  Of course by doing this, you forgo a lot of the "browning" on top.  After turkey is done, turn over to where breast side is up, and "broil" for a couple minutes to "crisp" the outside up.

Also, you can stuff the cavity with bacon instead of stuffing, and that gives a good moist smoked flavor.

Don't cook it on too high of heat.  I slow cook mine at 325 degrees, and when the drumsticks shrink up a bit, it's done.  Make sure you "baste" it during roasting.  I also "rub" mine with garlic butter generously before.  You can also get a meat "injector" and "inject" butter into the bird before roasting, or just some extra "broth".  That will aid in moistness.  Use butter, not margarine. Butter is your friend. ;)

You can also "Brine" it before cooking it.  Many "Brining" recipes on the web.  This will ensure a moister bird.

Since Turkey meat isn't my favorite, I'll be having prime rib roast this year.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

I've heard the deep fried is very good. You've got to be careful though big vat of hot grease can be very dangerous.

I always cook mine in a crock pot or a Reynolds turkey bag.  I don't check on it a lot I rotate the  pan once if I cook it in the oven.  I rub mine with butter and salt and pepper and make sure and season under the skin it helps with flavor and moisture.  If you check on it alot it will dry it out.  Hope that helps.

I always fix my turkey in a brown paper sack. It comes out very moist and the bag doesn't burn.

I stuff mine with whole onion, carrot, celery, then rub skin with little bit of butter, sprinkle on paprika, then cook it in a cooking bag.  Super moist, delicious, and not deep fried.
