PayPal takes a percentage of money that is sent to me.  It is based on whether it's sent as "personal - gift" or a regular payment which is 3 1/2% or 3 3/4%, I forget which.

Sounds like its a good idea to get a pay pal account...but I would rather receive a check in the mail box...

The only time I've had paypal take money is when someone sent me a regular cc payment, then it took a percentage.  Otherwise, I've had no problem with it, and prefer it :)

I LOVE Paypal! Like others have said I buy things on-line all the time and have found Paypal to be a really great tool for me. It also gives me that extra barrier to make sure that I spend the money on me and not to pay a bill or something. I don't make much at a time but I keep doing it because I know that it's my money that I will be able to buy something for me with. My last FC cashout I just spent to buy a book that I have been wanting since I started school. Yes it's for school but it is definitely not required and it will help me BIG TIME once I start working (and I got it almost half price). :)

Is Pay- Pal worth it? Yes they are pay pal is good to used when you ordering items online, especially when you don't want your credit card information giving to the company you are ordering from pay- pal is the best because they keep your information private. Also, they keep you from being scammed what I mean about that is, take me for a prime example I have a pay-pal account and was shopping on E-Bay and I bought several items from them. I received all my items from each seller accept one so I waited before I decided to call pay-pal and complain about not receiving my item. Immediately pay-pal did an investigation to contact the seller to find out why they didn't send me my item, but nobody never respond back so to make along story short they refunded back the money to my pay-pal account with no problems.
