You need to post 30 contributory posts in a calendar month ie something helpful to the community or encourages discussion not just "yep", "wow", "thanks". See the first page of this thread for more info.

I just submitted my first request for the $3 bonus for May after hitting the 30 posts mark. Yay!  Note to other newbies like me: You can only post a certain number per day (I think the limit is 9). I usually do 2-4 a day, but that one day, I was feeling especially chatty and hit my limit!      Also be sure to check the status of your request. While the initial submission screen said "up to 65 days" to credit, when I looked at the status afterwards, it was lowered down to 49 (I haven't checked to see if that number has changed today or not!)

I'm new at this, I just signed up yesterday and i'm still not sure how it actually works. So if anyone can help me out or have any advise I would really appreciate it.

This is a great opportunity, thanks so much. Not to be an idiot but do you need to do the forum bonus thing a few days before cashing out to be sure you get it, or can you do them at the same time? Sorry, I'm new

Though it usually doesn't take the full 65 days to credit, the posting bonus normally gets paid the month following the request.
