Does anyone out there quilt (well, stupid question) What I really mean has anyone out there just started to quilt.  I just finishd up the last of the squars for one and now I don't know what to do to get it all together.  I am afraid it will not look like what I want it to look like.  So, I'm looking for support and encouragement.

If you are making a quilt with squares of material you sew a row of squares in the length or width you want, and continue sewing  squares together till you have enough to make the top part. Sew all lengths together in a strait line, do same to make  the width the size want it to be, once you have the pattern all together you need to make a hem around it all. For a backing use a material you like . The piece can be a solid length of material, make a thin hem around the patchwork. It can be in a complementary color or just plain white. You will also need some filling for it (friend made hers with cotton batting), next you put the cotton batting between the two parts of the quilt sew it all together. To finish it off sew lengths of ribbon on the top part of the quilt, my friend just put about 6 or 8 strategically placed bows or some other decoration on it just to keep the innards in place and also to make it a little prettier.GOOD LUCK!
Well I hope this will help you, my friend  and I had a lot of fun making hers. We felt like we had really accomplished something when we were done. So this is in memory of my friend BettySue Svanderlik.

hey, awesome hobby, quilting is, but my home hobby is crochet, I love making little things for my kids, it keeps me from being really bored some days, and from having to buy my daughters a hundred purses $5 each, I can make them some, different looks colors and sizes personalized to them.
