All these young kids have attitude problems nowadays, I can remember back when i was a child and we were tought from a young age to respect our parents and elders, now you walk into the grocery store and the teenagers are swearing at the parents and demanding what they want ,I think it is the parents fault for giving them whatever they want , What do you think?  This is becoming a big problem everywhere! How many people have had a run in with an unruley teen ?

That's rude. Not all teenagers are like that.  Some teenagers are actually so stressed out (because of AP class and whatnot) that mouthing off to parents happens naturally, just saying.

These are definitely trying times when it comes to dealing with kids. It seems that they have evolved into spoiled brats. They want everything and they want it now. I raise my kids to understand that they can't always get what they want and I teach them that respect for others goes a long way. My kids are very understanding and don't expect things to be handed to them on a silver platter. They are rewarded for their hard work.

There aren't that many strong communities that existed when I was a child.  When I was much, much younger all the adults in the neighborhood knew every kid on that block and if you did something wrong believe me, your parents knew about it way before they got home.  Everyone look after  everyone else's child or children.  It's not so much like this anymore!  You would be lucky if your neighbors knows that you have children.  And talk back to an adult or show disrespect--hmmmm!!!!  That's all I have to say!

Mouthing off to your parent is not natural.  There isnever an excuse to sass or mouth off to your parent.  Its left up to the parent to allow your child to get away with that nonsense.  If a teen is stressed then talk to someone about the issue that is bothering them.  I agree that all teens are not like that, but most of them are.  I never mouthed off to my parents and I definitely didn't allow my child to mouth off to me.  Its called being raised to respect your parents and others.
