I tried Magic Jack but when I got it home and tried to install it I found out it would not work in my area. So I returned it, They don't tell you that it may not work in some areas on the package. Best of luck to you if you purchase it!

I have been using the magic jack for over a year now.  It works great!!!  I dropped my regular telephone service and I am now saving $45.00 per month.  The sound and quality is great.  I highly recommend the magic jack.

We have the majic Jack and love it! I would suggest it to everyone who is tired of paying for monthly home service. We have not had any problems at all using it!

I bought a Magic Jack for my grandson while he was in Iraq but he used Skype instead.  I got it from him when he came back and was very happy with it until my husband started complaining about the computer.  I discovered that there is no uninstall so did it manually and then discovered it wasn't the phone at all that was causing the problem but it couldn't be installed again :(  Was using it as a 2nd phone but it was clear and worked quite well.

Yes I have Magic Jack which would be atleast 3 years now...Its cool but like any other VIOP internet phone service it does interupt during calls when surfing online which is very annoying.  I pay only $19.95 a year...Which is awesome.....But for business purposes I just had a landline installed for $30 a mth through my cable provider. Due to being a insurance agent Metlife required me to have a landline not a VIOP which sucks. Now I have 2 lines....Other than that Magic Jack is good to have as a phone line saving hundreds a month. :star:

I have had one for years, but I just use the voice mail for my Internet stuff. I get a local area code like some websites demand and my main phone stays clear.

My mom and ex-brother-in-law like theirs.  I have one but my computer wouldn't let me hook it up.  In a few weeks I will have a better up dated computer and will be able to use my majic jack.  looking forward to it.

I've had magic jack for 2 or 3 years, it works fine, but you have to tell the person that your talking to that if the computer goes down that the phone line will disconnect and that you will call them back.

I've been wanting to try but I'm afraid that it doesn't work as well as it says. Does anyone live close to DE or MD that uses it?? I don't want to buy something that won't work

It comes with a money back guarantee, so what's the problem? The savings far outweigh the risk here.
