Cancel an account and then make a new one
« on: December 07, 2010, 03:56:50 am »
I was wondering if I could cancel my account and then someone else in my home could open up an account with you. Since it is the same IP address. I will be moving from home soon and was just wondering.

They don't have to receive the 5$ sign up bonus but could you let me know if this is possible.

I would double check with support before  would do something like that. They will probably understand your situation. As long as they are aware of this new account from that IP address, they probably will let it go.

Why not just let them work the account and split the money with you...that is of course if you are not going to re-sign up from your new location.

You could possibly call the ISP to have them release/recreate the IP address, not sure if this would help: http://whatismyipaddress.com/change-ip

In your Account Information, you can change WHO is running the account. You cannot change the UserID though. You can change the method of payment as well. My question would be, why couldn't you just change the person running the account from that IP address? If a different payment is needed (such as if you're being paid by check, and you need it in that person's name), change that too.

If you're going away, you can (I believe), just set up your own account over there. From what I read in the rules, FC tracks the IP address and/or the household address, not the person behind it.

As I'm not an Admin, I wouldn't take my word for any of this, just my thoughts I'm sharing. As stated by someone else, seek the Admins help for the official clarification. Good question. Would be nice to have you let us all know how it turns out, so we'll know for later knowledge we may need in the future ourselves!

Cant do it. One of my friends used to do it and he got banned from the site with 30 bucks still in the account. FC will track you ip address and so make sure you do not violate the rule.

Okay, I stand corrected. Ignore my previous post then. I wasn't sure if it could be done, and I haven't been around long enough to debate it, hehe :) Take the advice they gave.

You need to contact Admin by sending in a support ticket.  I'm sure they will give you the correct instructions on this.  I would do it sooner rather than later though so you will be able to get it done the correct way.   :cat:

Sorry, no can do.

From an advertiser's perspective, one of the main things they look at is IP addresses.  So let's say you signed up for MySurvey some time ago, and then this hypothetical second account signed up for it too -- MySurvey would see the duplicate IPs, flag the transactions as fraud, and we'd have trouble.  If it happens enough, it's possible for us to lose advertisers entirely.  So we have to enforce the one-per-household rule adamantly.

You can, of course, take your account with you when you move, and continue to use it.  But someone from your prior household shouldn't sign up or take over your account, as either of those are a violation of the TOS.

I see both sides of this argument. It's too bad that the advertisers have such a strict policy on offer signups, especially when there are quite a few dynamic IP ISPs in the US, not including anyone who tethers to their cellphone to get online.

I think they should look at the Ip address with the information submitted if it is the same and honestly i hate that physical IP address anybody can track you IP address and track you

It may kinda suck, but this is the way it has to be if we want to continue making money with Fusion Cash.  If they lose the contracts, we lose also.

I have a question.....because the company I work with, Best Buy, specializes in this type of thing.....say this user had Comcast/Cable internet....and then the new person has Satellite internetWould that still be considered fraud?
I have ways of making money that you know nothing of.
