Do you TIVO or watch programs live?

I TIVO everything.  I actually go through my program guide on Sunday and punch in the programs I want to watch for the week.  That way I don't have to remember what nights my programs fall on or have to check the schedule every day.  Since I do that, I rarely watch a commercial as I fastforward through them.  It takes about 45 minutes to watch an hour program.  On the rare occasion that I watch something not taped, I forget that it is not taped and it takes me a minute to figure out why I can't fastforward through the commercial.  I can tape two programs at the same time and watch a third one.  Occasionally there are two on at the same time that are ones I prefer to watch.

Nope. I do neither. I used to watch AND record, but most TV is now too dumb and disgusting to bother. 6 years ago, I said YUCK! I QUIT!

I use the tivo for almost everything I watch, I usually watch sports live but everything else is recorded by TIVO

I couldn't live without my DVR! lol I set it up to tape the new episodes of the shows I watch regularly. Plus I check once a week or so for other shows I might like or educational ones for my son. I hate commercials and always fast forward them.
Do you remember when commercials were only like 30 seconds long? There would only be 2 or 3 and then back to the show. Now it's 2 to 3 minutes per commercial sometimes.

i use my dvr for everything. i have all my regular shows set up to record every week.

when i went on vacation recently, i realized how spoiled i have become! (the hotel didn't have a dvr, so i had to sit through all those commercials!) they do put on way more commercials now then they used to. some of my 30 minute programs become about 15 minutes without the commercials.

I watch shows live. I don't have the extra cash to spend on TIVO or anything like that.

Haha! I do that too. Another problem with DVRing everything is that I'll be watching something taped, need to go to the bathroom (or get a snack etc), but decide to wait for the ads and do it then, but then when the ads come I'll just F-forward thru them like I'm used to doing before I remembered that I forgot to do my task, so I'll end up pausing the danged thing anyways!

I don't do tivo,but my husband DVR's just about everything.He is constantly checking the schedule looking for stuff to record.

Neither.  All of my favorite shows are available online for FREE, so I watch them usually the day after they aired "live" on TV.  I don't have cable.  Those who do are getting ripped off!

Well I have Comcast DVR service and most of the time I do record my shows or I watch them ON DEMAND.

I DVR most of the time. I am a fullt-time student with a 30-hr a week job, so I do not have too much time to watch TV until the weekend. That's when I catch up on all of my favorites. I cannot even remember what it was like without Dish and DVR!

I don't have TIVO, DVR or anything like that. Our cable provider has DVR's but we can't afford to have that along with the cable. So I still use tapes to record my shows.
