Hey, oddly enough I'm not the one trashing christianity here. I'm just trashing the hypocrisy, ignorance, and the naivety that's blatantly obvious. The followers seem to be making a complete joke out of it.

people made it a debate when they exchanged views opposite of what she felt about it. So, really, that excuse doesn't fly either.

Alright. Well I apologize for trying to keep your christian beliefs sacred and not be downgraded by some hilariously cheap and dumb internet-meme wannabes. I also apologize for creating a debate in the debate forum.

Not a problem making a debate out of it - it was going fine when you had a different opinion.  That's what it is all about.  I was only addressing the cut-down.

Wow. Here I thought Christ was supposed to be this noble stoic anti-materialist saint that his followers are supposed to respect, but it seems like he's more of some really cheap dumb fad now. Pretty funny. I guess maybe some people are just too idiotic to even grasp the basics of christianity, Marieelissa. That's really pathetic.

110%, eh? Sounds fraudulent. Lotta cons working out there. Make sure you read the fine print like I'm always telling you to. Besides, there's plenty of better and more respectable deals out there. Christianity is a major ripoff from the get-go.

Philosophically speaking, any eternity anywhere would be horrifyingly bad. The concept of it is no different if you're jumping a unicorn over rainbows in the clouds, or getting your intestinal tract skewed by some demon lord. The human mind cannot imagine eternity or the infinite. To be living such a concept would be torment alone.

It's not an opinion. It is "fraudulent". Many of the beliefs were borrowed from other systems. We've been through countless threads talking of them- for instance Jesus' story and how it follows mythical and ancient quest patterns that were set long before his time. Other messiahs during the time that parallel his story. Christmas and easter. The flood. I have never seen any decent argument for proof of christianity and its truths here. That being said, it's obviously not my job to pull heads out of the sand since they seem so cemented in. I'm just displaying the reality of this overloaded and awkward belief system. When you want to welcome the reality of this world and understand that your beliefs aren't solid and that this is just one of possibly millions of other faiths, the facts are really easy to get into. That, or you can continue the comfortable self-deception, boxed-reality, and questionable system that christianity truly is.
