I have A Question? Maybe Someone Can Answer It.

Does anyone remember a few months back the $8000. rebate you could get for buying a house. Well here is my question my husband and I bough a new house in April 2010 but you had to be movied in by the last day of Sept in order to get the 8000. well we didn't get into the house until Nov 5, and the reason was the land we were buying to put the house on was tied up in a lean and the bank this person had the land with took their good old time to clear up this mess. What I would like to know since it wasn't our fault is there some kind of loop hole we could use to still get this money. I heard there was but would like to know for sure. Thanks

If I were you I'd call the IRS and ask, that's going to be the place to get a correct answer.  And I would do it now before they get busy after the first of the year.....good luck.  :dontknow: :dontknow:

Oh wow, that's a real bummer. Well, I'm sure there likely are ways to get around that. Heck, there's ways to get around basically everything if you know where/how to look. The people in charge of that would likely be able to answer any questions, but you should know that they are likely to tell you that 'they're sorry for any inconveniences but there's nothing they can do since you missed the deadline' or something of that nature, hopefully that won't be the case though. anyhow, if it is, a lawyer may be able to find something for you. Good Luck and I hope things work out for you!
