Turkey or Ham for Christmas?!
« on: December 21, 2010, 07:57:41 am »
I'm actually having both for Christmas. I just did a turkey for Thanksgiving. But I figured I would do both for Christmas.

We almost never have turkey or ham. Everyone in our family brings something and our options for meat will be more like ham on rolls or chicken salad on croissants.

We celebrate our Christmas with children and grandchildren on Christmas Eve.  The tradition has always been a a Kentucky Fried Chicken feast and then open presents. So the answer is neither turkey or ham for Christmas.

Definitely ham.  Turkey is too much when you've just had it for Thanksgiving.

no question about it-ham.  turkey is dry and blah.  one time a year is plenty.

Most definitely a ham. If I had turkey for thanksgiving I don't think I would want to eat it again for christmas. A nice ham would be my choice to have; my favorite ham to eat is honey ham.

 My family likes to have a wide selection for the holidays. I have 3 grown boys and so they have the appetite to suit their size. We have 2 large hams, 2 turkey *bleep* and I figured that I would also have some stuffed Tenderloin for our Christmas Dinner this year; along with the usual trimmings. I let them take home all the left-overs , so they can have it in their lunches for work. That might last a da or two,Ha! Ha!

We are going to plan a vegetarian Christmas Dinner, since my daughter is visiting and does not eat meat.  Anyone have any great sites for recipes?
