I love getting christmas cards and reading the updates from my friends and family.
even though I have e-mail, phones and Facebook to keep connected -- I still love the christmas cards.

:)  Just thought I would share....  anyone else like getting cards?

Yes ... I too love Christmas cards.  Funny this year my husband and I got a card addressed to us from someone we don't know hehehehhe    I think there must be someone else with the same name in our area and they got the address out of the book.  It was our first card of the season and we got a good laugh.!!

I found some 100 year old Christmas cards in a box I bought at an estate sale. They were beautifully printed and some had lovely personal messages in them. It is a long time tradition that I believe started in the Victorian era in the late 1800's. Anyone know of an earlier history? :)

I agree, physical Christmas cards are SO much better than FB and e-mail greetings! I just got a beautiful card from my best friend and her family. I'm hanging it up I love it so much!

I like getting the real cards and handing them up along the staircase. It makes it more festive during the Christmas season.

We only got 3 cards this year. I wonder whether people are being frugal this year or not. Some think that is a waste of money anyways. I love getting cards myself.

Recieving christmas cards is awesome - especially when you're living far away from loved ones. I just love the feeling of openning the mail box and getting mails from your special beloveds. Always warms the heart!
