Yes, do go on and tell us more. But be careful-- if you're going to be advertising on the forum, you will probably be banned.

Unfortunately our young generations has no work ethic, feels everything should be given to them  and has no respect for mankind.  There are a few that are proving me wrong and I try to concentrate on them

I didn't realize how bad this generation really was until we recently had a blizzard.  Our newspaper went out and asked people of all ages what they did during the big snowfall and then they printed their answers in the newspaper.  The "older people" had the best answers saying things such as they made homemade hot chocolate and enjoyed their cozy fireplace. Those twenty years and younger sounded so "dumb".  Here's one answer: "first, like I like went outside and seen there was like snow all over the place and it was like our car was buried...so I went back in the house and told my girlfriend there was alot of snow in the yard and so she went outside to look around at it.  Then I was texting and it was really cold outside and snow coming down all over the place.  There were some people shoveling snow but like that's not for me so I went back inside and went back to sleep and then later I woke up".   ::)   REALLY?

Oh...this is CLASSIC!!!

Making a generalization and saying this generation is this bad seems silly to me - it was the generation prior to all of you did to your generation as well, I'm sure, and the generation before them to them...  In any generation or set of people, you see what you choose to see.

I agree with the above comment.  It's a ridiculous cycle where every young generation is told that they're lazy, they don't realize how easy they have it, etc.  Then when that generation gets older they say the exact same things to the next young generation.

I'm actually looking forward to saying "Back in my day, we only had 8-bit graphic games with no passwords! And we had to load them into the system on small tapes!!!"

I get so afraid for my grand children, growing up in these times. I wish they could spend just one day with my grandparents & have the good clean fun that I had - with no phone nor TV. We used our imagination, made mud cakes, used moss to make doll houses & caught craw dads. (cray fish as some call them)
My 17 year old grand daughter just moved from home into her boyfriend's home with his mom. I am heart sick,  :crybaby2: but in many ways really do understand as between  my daughter & her husband there are 6 kids in a 4 bedroom house. In many ways the kids are given too much, IPODS, cell phones etc just to shut them up & keep them out of the parents hair. Don't get me wrong - my daugter & hubby do things with the kids, but it seems their friends & time together is more important at times than the kids. Luckily the grandaughter has goals that I really feel she will stick with, even though her boyfriend isn't at all goal oriented - only in words not actions.

Not all kids these days are bad & trouble makers, but the ones that are - a lot of times it falls back on their upbringing.
I pray for these younger people that they can stay safe & make good choices.

I couldn't agree with you more (comment above mine..lol)  Alot of the time it does fall to the upbringing of the child.  And I am so sick of seeing 10 year olds with cell phones and Ipods, ect..Does a child that young really NEED a cell phone?  How about a book for a change, JEEZ!  :o :o :dontknow:
