The Valetines Day I remember most was over 23 yrs ago. I had not been married but around 6 years and as with most new marriages; money was tight. I fixed a nice dinner that night and thought that was going to be it.  Then after my husband got off work he walked in the door whistling so happily; th children and I went to meet him and he had one of those hughe walking ballons for the kids and a big bouquet of roses and lavender with babies breath for me. Even to this day I smile when thinking about that Valentine's Day.

A few years ago I had just gone through a tough divorce and the girls I work with were trying to make me feel better so they bought me a box of chocolates and a "grow a date" ( a man that grows in water) It was funny and cute and made the day a little easier.

I think I mentioned this on another thread but... its a story that is worth telling I suppose. A few years ago, I went on my first date EVER with the boy that would eventually become my boyfriend. It was his first date too and we decided Valentine's day would be perfect. So we had this beautiful date, went to dinner... went Ice skating. And then afterwards, we went to the park just to mess around and go for a walk. Well, I went to go sit down at the top of a slide and I slipped, slammed my arm off the edge and broke the bone clean in half. Had to spend the rest of the date in the hospital! Where he proceeded to spout poetry and give me roses... lol It was quite memorable.
