I try to use PayPal whenever I can and never use the card attached to my checking account!

I wouldn't do it anymore. I had someone from MO actually MAKE a credit card in my name and used it charging over $2500.00 to my checking account. fortunately my bank didn't hold me liable for any of it, but BE CAUTIOUS!

omg! how that happened?

It depends. When it is a legitimate well known site to buy things online it's alright to put your information in. You can do a quick search for the company if you are unsure and look for anything related to a scam. However they should never ask you for credit card or ssn on a survey or in an email.

I do not like the idea of putting personal information on the internet ,especially with so much scammers out there and spyware. Ii must be a secured network for which you can purchase something  and I never had to give CC info for a survey.Be wary of that ::)

I used to pay my bills online all the time- UNTIL in April, someone from Missouri got a hold of my credit card (which is my bank card btw) and PHYSICALLLY created a card with their name on it and spent over $2500!!!! I pay things over the phone now... What a lesson learned!

I definitely would recommend being cautious with imputing your credit card number. We live in the age of identity theft. I only use a couple of trusted sites myself, and I try very hard to use one particular credit card for online transactions. I recommend checking in with your credit card company ahead of time, and asking about how they handle identity theft, what you should do if you suspect a fraudulent charge, or if your card is compromised, just in case. Also, realize that some identity theft protection plans might cause you an occassional annoyance. Every time I pay tuition for my classes, my silly credit card puts a hold on my account later cause they suspect identity theft, no matter what I ask them to keep on file.
