To me, it looks like real people power with hope for the middle class against  great odds. Do you agree or disagree with this movement?

I have a hard time understanding the union member's method of thinking.  Probably because I have never been in a union.  But the concept of telling your employer what salary and benefits you MUST receive is totally amazing to me.  I always thought that you get a job, work really hard and if the employer wants to keep a good worker, they take care of you in a fair and equitable way.  Otherwise, as a good worker, you are free to move on and find someone who DOES reward a good worker.  I think that allows the cream to rise to the top and allows the good workers to be rewarded and have an incentive and allows the bad workers to be out on the street looking for a job.

Maybe I am just missing something here, but there are labor laws that protect all of us from horrible unsafe and unfair working conditions.  What I see are people trying to set their own hours, wages, benefits by intimidation and they want everyone else to foot the bill whether is makes the state bankrupt or not.  I don't see how they can care about the kids when they are jeopardizing their future.

Sorry if this makes anyone mad, I am just being honest from a perspective of someone who has not dealt with a union.
