Great initiative Clint08! Well executed. Had a lot of fun putting it together. Keep them coming.

U2BMATH: Thank you for your input. Do you think I should turn the current puzzle into a crossword? Please let me know.

Hey Clint08. I think you'll find people are more apt to do Word Searches, rather than Crosswords. I know that's true for me. But I also know that many people love crosswords, too. They are everywhere. Now, if you wanted to do a crossword, you could make it creative. And I'm giving away a great idea here, so listen up, hehe :) Form Teams!

Set up 3 teams. Ask people which team they want to be on. A, B, or C. and then have them compete to complete a Crossword you create. You score teams by the amount of letters they fill in. For instance, if one of the clues in the puzzle is APPLE, but the A and the L are already filled in, then the team that guesses APPLE would score 3 points for the P, P, and E.

Overall, the winning team that scored the most points would win the most money, divided by the number of players. Perhaps $0.10 a player. The second team members would win $0.05 each, and the third place team would win $0.01 a piece. That's if you wanted to front money for the game, and you had approval from Kohler to do so, because he has to actually award the money to keep email addresses private.

You can of course develop your own twists to my ideas. But that's kind of the way I would go, is to form teams to work together to solve the puzzle.

Thanks for asking for my opinion :)
Mike

Thanks for that idea. My question is this how much would I have to front to award the winners?

Well, let's contemplate your question. How much?

If Team "A" has 20 players, and each is given $0.09, that would be $1.80
If Team "B" has 20 players, and each is given $0.05, that would be $1.00
If Team "C" has 20 players, and each is given $0.01, that would be $0.20

For a maximum total of $3.00. Of course, less players for each team means less of a maximum payment. If you told Kohler to keep your next Forum Bonus, it wouldn't cost you anything out of pocket. It would mean you just may not get your Forum Bonus for a month.

If you limited things to 10 players per team, that would be only $1.50 maximum. And I can guarantee that if Kohler approved the idea, and the funds, you'd have up to 60 VERY HAPPY PLAYERS!

That help?

Yes that does help. I will send him a ticket right now. Instead of the crossword it would be a wordsearch and whoever has the best time will get $0.15 second will get $0.10 and third would get $0.05, but they cannot reveal the words. Please look at the puzzle now and tell me what you think

I think sending a ticket is a great idea. I love the fact that more and more people on FC are coming up with different games to play. For or without incentive. All you can do is ask, and see what the say. The puzzle looks great. Have fun. :)

I was talking about the incentives for the winners. They would have to submit their times to the thread. I would know if they revealed the words or not because I already recorded the times if you revealed the words.
