Schools in crisis
« on: March 18, 2011, 06:24:54 am »
Are your school districts having a budget crisis? Ours are. Thousands of teachers will be losing their jobs here soon because of budget cuts which is sad because they just went through this last year. The problem? From what I can see, it's because they resigned the superintendent's contract- the very same man who couldn't maintain the district's budget last year! And the contract is for big $$! Seriously, what is wrong with people?

My advice to the teachers that get laid off- start your own home-school. Think about it: so many parents worry about overcrowding in the classroom. If you offered to take on just 10 students, maybe just from one grade level, and charged $100 a week per student, that's not bad money. You just have to follow the local guidelines for home schooling and then the teacher and parents can work together on the curriculum. Almost seems like a win-win.
