Can the Westboro Baptist Church sink to a newer low?  Yes, of course they can.  They are now planning on picketing Elizabeth Taylor's funeral.  Really?  Not all publicity is good publicity.  Sheesh.

I saw this on the "news" section of FC's offers. It doesn't surprise me, but I still hate them. If there is truly a hell, they'll be the ones in it.

Aughghghgh why are people highlighting them in the news!? This is the only reason they're so big! They make christians look bad! IT'S A CONSPIRACY!!!

They do make genuine Christians look bad, that's for sure.  I cannot believe they can honestly think they are doing the Lord's work.  Ughhhhh   :dontknow:

Sadly, those on the extreme fringes of religion have reared their ugly heads since the beginning of organized theology.  Even more sadly is the fact that even the mainstream religious groups have participated in actions I'm sure God, as a loving, omnipotent power, would disagree with.  I realize this may seem off topic, but how many people have died in the name of religion,from the Crusades through WW II to today. 

People such as those in this story certainly give religion a bad name, but I think we need to look at trends around the globe and try to exhibit tolerance on all levels.
