Spring Flowers
« on: April 15, 2011, 09:01:36 am »
What is your favorite Spring flower and if it does what special meaning does it have to you?  Mine is the Yellow Rose and it has a special meaning that my oldest daughter and I share.  Both she and I know that we saved each other from hell and the yellow rose reminds us of it each time we see it.

I can't believe this hasn't gotten any replies.

I love crocus and iris, both in purple.  The crocus usually pokes it's head out first and sometimes gets snowed on.  That's really pretty to see it's brightly colored promise of Spring popping out through the snow.  I also like pansies and grape hyacinth.  Are snap dragons Spring or Summer?  I like them too.

I love yellow tulips. They just brighten my day and make me think positively whenever I see them.

I love the spring flowers too!  It is so exciting when you start to see them pop up because you know the warm weather is on it's way soon.  I guess my favorite is the tulip .... all colors of them!!

I love hydrangeas and lilacs. We used hydrangeas in my daughters wedding and they were beautiful...Both flowers are lovely and smell wonderful. Lilacs are very easy to grow. They remind of the olden days of grandmother when everyon seemed to have them in their yards.

I'm not a flower person so I don't have a favorite but I like bird of paradise because it's cool looking.

I love tulips because my dad has always grown them in the backward and so they remind me of home. My favorites are deep purple.  ;D

I love the Gardenia jasminoides 'Plena' because it is so beautiful. My husband gave me a bouquet of these on our 1st anniversary and I have loved them ever since.

I love all the spring flowers. Love watching them come up and I know warmer weather is just around the corner.

All spring flowers are my favorites because they say that winter is gone and warm has come back to the earth. If I must chose a favorite it would be the sterling rose, to me it is the most beautiful of flowers. The fact that it is naturally purple which I find very exotic, it is the most stunning flower I have seen. :) :) :)

Oh I love the yellow Daffidills -my Mom was in a coma when I was delivered-and my brothers and sisters picked Daffadills to take to the hospital when she awoke. Of course I didn't know it at first- years later when I mentioned they were my favorites-she told me-a bonding moment.

Cool story Barbaralynn.  I love flowers, all kinds, all colors.  When I lived in Colorado I loved the crocus, because it was always the first sign of spring.  In California I love to see the mountains ablaze in orange when the poppies bloom!  My husband always plants roses for me (we've moved a few times), so I remember him and how much he loves me when I see roses in bloom.  I love some for the gorgeous fragrances and some for the beautiful colors, I feel flowers (natures) add so much beauty to our lives.
