I feel that people today do not respect relationships like in the past.

I feel men or women cheat out of boredom. I feel either party cheat if they know they can get away with it. I feel either party cheat when they dont have  repsect their partner. I feel men  or women cheat when the spark in the relationship is gone. I feel men or women cheat in a relationship if either partner cheated first.

???I don't have a clue on this one. But if anyone comes up with a definite answer it would be nice to know. I have been cheated on and I don't understand it. My ex couldn't give me a straight answer other than he didn't know. He said "It just happened and that he was sorry and wanted to work things out." I said "Good Bye and filed for a divorce." I do believe once a cheater always a cheater.

First, because they are sinful and have lustful desires; secondly, they are truly in love with their spouse and have no conscience toward cheating.

I think that people cheat for a few reasons. They may be under-appreciated and not getting what they need from the current relationship.  When Hugh Downs cheated on his super-model girlfriend with a prostitute I can't help but think that he could be more candid with someone that he didn't respect and his girlfriend was constantly busy.   Another reason is that people like variety and new adventures.  I think that men cheat more because of their genetic pre-disposition to spread their seed and create a large tribe while women are looking for that one perfect soul mate with which to make the perfect child(and possible future protector).

It's the thrill of doing something exciting/new and the possibility of getting caught.

Because they do not understand the meaning of love, there are many different ways to be in love with someone. You have to be committed all around to make a relationship work :dontknow:

I'm not sure people lack respect for relationships today anymore than they did in the past.  People cheated all the time in the past as well.  The main difference today, in my opinion, is that marriage is no longer sacred as it used to be.  It used to be that if you were married, that was for good, you were with that person.  Now, more than 50% of marriages end in divorce.

when there is cheating in a relationship that just means one thing there is something wrong in the relationship, it can be a number of things thats why it is important to have lots of communication in the relationship, if the spouse keeps cheating over and over again that just means that he/she is a very insecure person,,,,,i been in a relationship where i was cheated on and i was a good wife now we arw divorce and i dont regret it one bit cause now i feel better dont need to worry everytime he walks out the door,,, ;D

They both cheat because they need to look for something.  It could be a rush for them to cheat.  Maybe they need to have someone to love and spend time with them. There are so many reasons.

I believe that men or women that cheat in a relationship because they are lacking something from the other partner and there is a lack in the communication between the two partners.  With therapy, and working together, this can be overcome.  If the behavior continues and the partner being cheated on let it continues, then that is insanity.
