Concealed Deadly Weapons Permit
« on: May 03, 2011, 01:20:57 pm »
I have had my Conceald Deadly Weapons Permit for over a year now.  Does any one else have a permit?  I carry a small handgun in my purse at all times.  I am a trained markswoman and would not give a second thought about using it if the need arises.  I have been told by various police agencies that they believe it a good idea.  What do you think?
Have a wonderful day!

i think it can be a good thing so long as the person is trained in how and when to use it.

i have had mine for 4 years and carry a glock 17 with laser sight and would use it if needed. i feel that i should be armed and ready if some criminal wants to mess around.  i'll give them a 9 mm between the eyes.

Absolutely! I am also proud to say that my husband taught my oldest daughter how to shoot with his .45 semi automatic. She is a tiny little thing and it kicks back quite a bit but she loves it !

The best deterent to a criminal mind is the thought that they might be met by deadly force.  So yes I am all in favor of carrying a concealed weapon with the knowledge that if it is needed it is there rather than the though of it being needed and not being there.

Isn't  it really abhorrent that in order to protect yourself you have to carry a deadly weapon.  This world is mad and getting worse.

Everybody should have this permit and be armed....especially women. I would have no problem using my weapon to protect myself or my family. Even to protect someone else who had no protection. The world has gotten to the point where citizens must protect themselves. law enforcement can't be everywhere at once. I've heard more than once that the reason America has so many freedoms and have never been taken over by another country is that their citizens are armed, and that is a fear to other countries. That's why it's so important to block legislation that opposes our freedom to bear arms.

Many states, and cities within our states are making it extremely difficult to obtain a concealed weapons permit. In New York it takes about a year and they make you jump through all kinds of hoops. Most people give up. California is getting pretty ridiculous also. Even though we still have the freedom to bear arms, it's being chipped away at bit by bit. This is one freedom we cannot afford to be altered or abolished.
