Actions during dreams

The other night I woke up with my arm up in the air.  I was dreaming that somebody was giving me something and I was taking it in my dream.  Last night was another weird one - I dreamed I wa washing windows and woke up when my hand and arm were actually making the movements of washing windows. 

Anybody else have some weird ones?

lol, I do that sometimes. I've watched my son play video games in his sleep, acting like he has a controller in his hand. I've also seen him doing blocks from Karate in his sleep.

Our subconcious will "empty" itself out of the days activities when we are asleep. In other words, we are reliving certain episodes of the day in dream state.

Sometimes if I have something pressing on my mind. A task or event I need to get done or attend, I'll dream I'm already, or have already done it. I've been told that I've sat straight up in my bed and started reciting something or I'm giving a study or something. Since that's what I do for a living (Preacher), it's normal to have that on my mind at night. I think it's fascinating how our mind works. Even when we're sleeping.

I have had dreams where i am peeing in a unrinal and i wake up immediately to sprint to the bathroom to unleash the fury.

I used to sleepwalk when I was little. I would go to sleep upstairs in my bed and wake up the next morning downstairs on the sofa. One time when I woke up my hamster cage was sitting open on the floor... with no hamster. But everything turned out fine when I found him running around uninjured under the kitchen table Now, the worst I've ever woken up to was jumping out of bed. I was dreaming of jumping over a car or something and hopped off my bed and onto the floor

I have "active" dreams every night due to medications I have to take.  Some get really wild!

Are you on any new medications, because vivid dreams is a side affect of some of the blood pressure drugs.

Hahahaha! I've had dreams where someone was trying to take my purse away from me. I was waving my arms all around trying to hit the mugger. I woke up from that dream only to see that I almost hit my husband who was sleeping next to me.

No meds or new ones.

I sometimes have a dream where I am trying to find a bathroom as I have to go.  I have even gone potty in my dream and then look foranother bathroom as I guess I wasn't finished.  Fortunately, I wake up and really have to go and the bed is dry.
