Slouching is a habit. Try sitting up and when you notice your slouching, then sit up again. To get out of this habit, the only thing you can really do is work on it.

I have the same problem. My doctor recommended for me to wear a brace for a week. After the week is up take it off and your body will have the urge to sit up straight on it's own. If not just wear it a little longer.

you can try doing more core training exercises as well. sitting and slouching walking and slouching are all signs of a weak abdominal core.

Hey...I was almost convinced that "slouching" was normal until I read this post... ;D! Besides, I think it's something that many of us do. When I find myself slouching, I am usually bored! I will reposition myself by getting up and finding something else to do!

I have that same problem. I dont really slouch when I walk but sitting at the computer I usually do. It doesnt matter if I sit up because my back begins to hurt regardless of what type of chair i sit in and it is very difficult to adjust the chair. Its basically like adjusting the drivers side. takes too much time for my liking

I don't think I can slouch. I see some people that are slouched over so far it makes my back hurt looking at them. I'm kinda tall so sitting next to shorter people I try to slouch so I don't look so huge...but it doesn't work lol. Oh well, I guess I have to embrass it. Put your feet flat on the floor, sit on the edge of your chair, and keep your shoulders back :)
