I think bottled water is a pure waste of money, not to mention resource wasteful in the packaging used.  We use our drinking water through a filter and it dispenses from the refrigerator.  The filter costs $39.99 and lasts for 100 gallons worth of water.  The water tastes crisp and clean.  Anytime we need to have the "convenience" of bottled water, we just fill up a Klean Kanteen to take along.

I like the taste of our sweet well water, but my husband will no longer drink it since the doctor told him the well water may be a factor in the two episodes of kidney stones that he had.

wow! i never heard about companies doing that to the water!!! I actually buy water bottles too but they are the store brand..and i happen to work for that store and personally know how they make it..so i feel a lil safer! I live near the lake/Dam and its nasty water here! so its just easier on me to buy the bottles.

All bottled water including Aquafina..(which is REALLY bad) have acid in the water. Some claim they use reverse osmosis to purify the water. You guys know what acid does to pipes over time imagine what it does to your body....You guys need to buy a water ionizer to have CLEAN water...

We only drink bottled water and when I cook I use the gallons, Because water in Louisiana is horrible and I don't use the tap water for anything we eat or drink I only use in in laundry, dish washing and shower anything we don't eat or drink, I am a chemist and I know that for a fact drinking bad water can cost you a lot of your health so I don't take risks

I have heard this also. I don't buy bottled water that often. But for a few days a month our tap water tastes like chlorine so I like to have bottled water on hand during those days. Bottled water may not be pure but at least it don't taste like chlorine.

I just wish I would have known 20 years ago that putting water in a plastic bottle would make someone rich. It is most all just tap water from some citiy's water supply. Some people will pay for anything!

Any bottled water and I mean any has high (PH) in them. Best thing to do is buy PH strips and test your water right out of the bottle.

I've heard that before and I've watched a ton of documentaries  and things of that nature on the subject. I don't drink bottled water. I have a pitcher with a filter and I stick to that. It has saved me so much money! I love it.  :D

I use both.
My city's water is really awful. We use a filter, and sometimes, it doesn't last, and we end buying waterbottle (I prefer Nestle or Ozarka)
I use water bottle for the gym as well or to the park.

I always buy bottle water, don't know but is is more convenient to just grab a bottle of cold water from the fridge. Don't know if my water is purified, but to me it tastes good.

I pretty much only drink bottled water because I know that my city has terrible water and when things go wrong (like filters going offline for several weeks) they don't notify us, you only find out about those things if you know someone in public works. I get water delivered by Poland Spring and I can tell a difference between it and most other bottled waters, just a taste thing I suppose. I just did a quick google search about PH in bottled water and from a couple of different sites they have poland spring listed as between 6.9 and 7.6, 7 is neutral and the PH of human blood is around 7.4 so I don't think you can really say that all bottled water has a high PH and some people actually prefer the taste of highly alkaline and I can't find any thing, though I have by no means done extensive research that a higher PH water is particularly bad for you unless you are considering that chlorine is the only mineral effecting the PH (which more than likely is not). High levels of chlorine in your water is certainly not good for you.
