No one has to "opt-in" on this one, so there is no being "locked out"....you just show up at the designated time and find the thread that Kohler will start. Look for it in the Contests & Promotions discussion board. This particular thread is not part of the Post Mania except for Kohler giving the details. It is this Saturday, June 4th.

Make sure you've read Kohler's post on page 1 of this thread.....basically, when he unlocks the thread he sets up on Saturday, everyone who has chosen to participate will just post as fast as they can for the designated time frame (contest goes until there are 2000 posts). You can post whatever you want as long as your posts are in complete sentences. You can post something like "I love my dog" or " I wish it would rain". You don't even have to carry on a conversation in the thread with anyone (unless you want to). The idea is to get in as many posts as you can in hopes that you may hit one of the lucky post numbers that has a prize associated with it (i.e. #1 is worth .10, or # 5 may be worth .15, #100 may be worth $2.00!!).

Most people generally communicate amongst themselves, though it is hard when you have people posting like crazy. Reading all the posts is my job and is not required. We have a lot of fun and it fun to play a game where everyone is participating at the same time.

Like Kohler said, reading all the posts is not required (from us)....we'll be too busy posting  !! I'm not sure where he'll fit the word scramble in (or whatever he decides to do)....it may be during half time in a separate thread?? I'm sure he'll fill us in in due time.

Well.....I'm going to miss post mania on Saturday. I have an appointment that just dropped in my lap, and I'm obligated to attend. Bummer!! I was really looking forward to participating in this promo at least once......sigh. You all have fun though. Maybe next time.

For those of you asking what Post-Mania is, it's a contest where, at the designated time, you post like crazy in the thread that Kohler will start, for like an hour. The last one I participated in, he also included a word scramble as part of the contest. Every certain number of posts have bonuses associated with them.....for example, post #1 is worth x amount, post #10 is worth y amount, post #25 is worth z amount, etc. until the hour is up. About half way through, he locked the thread for about 10 minutes to give us a break and then we got back at it again. The posts have to be in complete sentences, is the only rule I think there was. It's a lot of fun!!! I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I think he also asks for those who are going to participate to indicate so by a certain date. Then only those who are participating can access the thread.

This Post Mania will be held within the Contest&Promotions forum so EVERYONE can play - there is NOTHING you have to do to enter, just show up!

Maybe you can "make" that be naptime!!!! (Wishful thinking, I'm sure!) When I had something that I would like my kids down for their naps for, they would never nap at that time!! Good luck, hope you can participate.
