Pet Peeves
« on: June 01, 2011, 07:15:33 am »
I have thought about writing a book about my Pet Peeves ~ it would probably be a series ~ since I seem to have so many.  Mostly it is the little negligent things people have gotten into the about of doing.  I was reading some posts and a lady mentioned writing about Pet Peeves, and since I didn't see it, I thought I would start a topic on the subject.

Do you have a pet peeve?  Let's see how many different ones we can come up with.

One of my pet peeves is when people drive in the fast lane going slower than the slow lane ~ especially when you are behind them and they are going the same speed as the one beside of them.
Have a wonderful day!

1. I hate it when people leave drinking glasses outside, therefore hundreds of disgusting ants collect in them.

2. I hate stupid people (haters and trolls) who write nasty things about people (celebrities) on Youtube and Twitter for no apparent reason...If you don't like that person, why take the time to type in their name, click on their video and watch it???....I think it's the stupidest thing.

3. The packaging that small electronics like MP3 players come in. They're nearly impossible to open.

4. When I send someone to the store and they absentmindedly bring back a diet drink, LOL.

5. Magazines that put people that AREN'T real stars on the cover like Kim Kardashian.

Well...that's all for now, but I know I have plenty more, LOL.

Rude people, like ones who don't think to hold open a door to a stranger coming in behind them.

Oh man, I could go on and on.
1. cell phone and driving, standing in line, talking loud, ring tones, etc.
2. drivers (cutting off, going slow, lack of turn signal, etc.)
3. people who let their dogs poop in others yards
4. bad customer service (especially in a restaurant)

People who think that they are so important that they not only have to talk on a cell phone in public for what seems like hours on end but they have such big mouths that they let everyone else in on their conversations.

I dont like the plastic packaging on various items from the store, you practically need hedge sheers to open them.

My pet peeve is people who post on message boards who can't spell or use proper grammar and sound utterly illiterate.  It's hard to know what they are talking about.  It's scary to think they actually finished school not knowing how to write a proper sentence.  Just scary.

I agree with this one. I make my share of typos and mistakes, but I know several people on FB who are fingering out what to do next. Thanks for sharing.

My big pet peeve is people who are trying to tell me what to do, when they have no idea about what they are talking about.
For example:

1. People, who I give rides to, are telling me how to drive. They need a ride because they have had their license suspended or revoked.

2. People who advise me on religious matters. These people don't go to church nor do they believe in God. However, they will tell me what church I should be going to and how often.

Also:

People who give their advice out of the blue and without being asked. Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has two of them and they usually stink.

I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

I have 2 that are rather similar ones that really bother me.

1. people whose vocabulary doesn't include "please" or "thank you" children at at least we can try and teach me but when adults can't be courteous enough to use these words we are in trouble

2. the lack of respect for human beings when people think they are entitled to something etc and treat others like dirt just so they can get what they want
Be grateful for what you have and you will receive more than you ever expected

If you believe it you can achieve it.

my number one pet peeve is when someone thinks they are better than someone else because they have more money or live in a better house or drive a better car .... you understand the idea and even if someone is really down on their luck .... don't trash talk them ... help them or at least say a prayer for them.

Another pet peeve is how some people take every opportunity to bash God and Jesus Christ.
Have a wonderful day!

I believe that everyone is entitled to have an opinion about absolutely everything.  But i don't feel like everyone has the right to voice their opinion about everything.  It drives me crazy when people throw their opinions around about things they have no clue about.
