Watching the show did give me a jumpstart to research couponing. Through different websites online, i have been able to get some really good deals. I learned to shop more at drugstores( which i thought were always too pricey) and was able to come out with lots of free or low cost products!! I wouldn't say that i have a stockpile, its more like a little stash of toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and body wash. But i can say that alot of stores are changing some of their coupon policies due to the shows popularity and the increase of people using coupons.

I have seen the show I think some of the people go a little to far. The have huge stock piles of items 210 boxes of pasta. Does even a family of 10 need that much pasta?
I was on the news that charges are being brought agaist extreme couponing  .com for proving so many coupons at a low price.
Many stores are beginning to limited the amount of the same coupons you can use at one time. I don't blame at all  for that. Their inventories are being wiped out and many times they aren't reimbursed for the coupons! :peace:

How could they not be reimbursed for the coupons? Coupons are issued by the manufacturers.

Never seen that show but heard aoubt it a lot!!
I don't know if anyone noticed or been treated the same way...
ever since that show became popular, the cashiers aren't as nice as they used to be when they see me shopping with coupon.
Stores start to have less and less good deals~~ I blame that show for it!!!

I woud imagine there are very few people who take it to the extreme that it is taken on the show.

I started to use coupons a few months ago and I only have saved up to $20.00 a visit.  I can never find the deals the extreme couponing show has.  Maybe I am not looking hard enough.  I wish I could save like they do.

Yea I've seen that show, but the way they get all those discounts is by doing nothing but couponing.  It looks miserable.  It's their whole purpose it seems like.

In one show they had a woman who was dumpster diving for coupons, I think that is a little overboard.  I do use coupons and my kids know that special items require the item to be on sale and I need to have a coupon.  It's only hoarding when you buy stuff that you don't need.  Why on earth would somebody buy diapers when they don't have kids!!!  Of course you could donate the stuff to the food bank and use the value (real not paid) as a tax deduction.

It can be done, but it takes time and practice ... it took about 2 weeks to develop a system and have managed to get upto 96% savings on a $118 transaction.
You have to know the stores coupon policies!
Give a try and don't be discouraged and what ever you can get free and don't need donate.
Manufactures direct sights usually have high value coupons.
Internet coupons usually do not have fierce restrictions like the coupon inserts in the Sunday/Wed papers.
Good luck!

Don't believe the hype with the show.  It makes for great entertainment, but it's mostly unreliable and overexaggerated.

I started using coupons a few months ago and have never been able to save that much.  But I have saved enough to says it helps at the check out.  I got 10 bottles free one time and that was really exciting.  don't run up on many deals like that.  Wish I could.

How did ya manage 10 free bottles?

sometimes they buy things they dont need because they can get an overage, or credit towards the rest of their purchase due to the coupon being worht more than the product...and most of them then donate the items they dont need or let family/friends use them
