MY KID DOESN'T, DOES YOURS?

You know how on kid shows (ex: blue's clue's / go, diego, go) they say, "What's your name" or "stand up and run with us".  Does your kid answer or go along with it?  Mine doesn't...

I don't have any kids as I am a student and am very young. Though, I have three nieces and one of them loves Diego. She always does whatever the cartoon says and it's actually really cute.

my youngest doesn't do that, or at least she doesn't do it right now. i do remember my older two acting with the shows though when they were little.

sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't.  I can't figure out why they are so inconsistent.

It depends on the child.  All 4 of my younger brothers didn't do any of the activities until they were around 4 years old or so.  My nephew's two, and he hasn't yet started doing any of the requested motions or words yet, although he will sing all the songs in his favorite show (which he calls "Hot Dog" -> that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show that has a song at the end where they say hot dog a lot).

I would want my children to respond if I had some but like al adults, all children respond differently to different commands and other things.

  Mime is 11 yrs old , (only child - poor baby) and still talks to the TV. I ask him who are you talking to, he says myself...I have no no one to talk to.
