Paypal question- please help
« on: July 08, 2011, 12:57:59 pm »
Ok so I have had a paypal account for over 2 years, and I receive payments from other sites fine. I also live in the US and have all the correct info. The thing is I don't have a bank account connected to my paypal account. Will this mess up the Fusioncash transaction?
Thanks

I believe that your Paypal account has to be verified for you to use it for Fusion Cash. There may be other ways to have it verified but the easiest is definitely to tie it to your bank account. :) The only person I have ever heard having a problem with this is my ex and knowing him it was probably user error. ;) I hope this helps!

The FC terms of service imply that your PAYPAL account must be verified -- not sure if that means it's required because PAYPAL requires verification before it will allow you to withdraw funds or not -- or whether FC is also requiring you to get a verified PAYPAL account because it would be best all around for you to do that.

Verification is not difficult, if you have a bank account that you'll willing to use.  I believe that you could use a saving account** -- as long as there is a means to send a transaction from PAYPAL to the account to confirm the existance of the account and that you are willing to allow PAYPAL to use the account to charge you when you make a PAYPAL payment and do not have sufficient funds in your PAYPAL account.  (That is the purpose of the verification -- PAYPAL wants to be able to complete any payment you request (to another vendor) by having a ready source for those funds -- eithor a bank account or a credit card.)

During the verification process, PAYPAL sends your bank account 2 small money transfers (couple of cents each) and when you get them, you confirm the receipt by telling PAYPAL how much you received.

I did this a long time ago and have had no problems with PAYPAL.  Many sites require you to have a verified account (whether PAYPAL or AlertPay) before you can receive cash out monies from them.

You must have a verified PAYPAL account in order to make transfer out of the account -- whether to your bank account or another vendor.

**Confirm with your bank that they will accept monies into the saving account as well as charge to the savings account.

You don't have to use Paypal, unless that is your preference.  FC's preference is to verify your Paypal account if that's where you want your FC payments sent.  What, exactly is your question?
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.
