Do you read to your child or grandchild?
« on: July 12, 2011, 03:19:15 am »
I think reading to children and encouraging them to read  from books (the ones with pages that your turn) is so important for many reasons education, quality time, imagination going to  far away places by reading a book and so much more. I fear that reading book will disappear. I love technology but   I fear that reading books will disappear because of it
What are your thought?

I used to read to my daughter, but now she is 10, going on 11 and reads on her own. However I did enjoy those moments shared in reading to her when she was younger so much that now we read books together sometimes...taking turns reading to each other or side by side. I like her taste in books and she has always enjoyed my taste in books for her. They were the tried and true books such as the "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" or "A Wrinkle In Time" and so on. If anyone out there has the opportunity to share in that special time with their child, enjoy it while you can. For none of us are promised tomorrow and the grow up so quickly.

I just want to applaud you for being a wonderful Daddy to your daughter, my daughter is 33 and her father has yet to set eyes on her..I know this is off topic but I admire any man who spends time with their children....I read to my grandkids :)
