what is the best day to go fishing?

i am being addicted of fishing..it's been like a week of fishing everyday, but didn't catch any..i don't feel bad at all because i am having fun, but my partner wanted to catch even at least one..and he felt so upset every time when we get home bringing nothing..and i don't want him to quit fishing..by then i don't have company to go with..so please help me what is the best day and some tips to do of catching a real big fish..thanks a lot in advance!..
