As christian we need to be silent. Proverbs 19:20-21 Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

Jesus was put to death unjustly on the Jewish month Nisan 14 after sundown. The Jewish day started after sundown. That day this year corresponds to our calendar 4/11.God has made it each yr to be known of the significance of his death ransoming mankind back from Adamic sin and for us to memorialize it.

In regard to Lent and Ash Wednesday there is no command to observe them. While some fasts were met with divine approval.........others......

The Bible, however, also refers to fasts that God did not view with favor. King Saul fasted before consulting a spirit medium. (Leviticus 20:6; 1 Samuel 28:20) Wicked people, such as Jezebel as well as the fanatics who planned to kill the apostle Paul, proclaimed fasts. (1 Kings 21:7-12; Acts 23:12-14) The Pharisees were well-known for their regular fasting. (Mark 2:18) Yet, they were condemned by Jesus, and they failed to impress God. (Matthew 6:16; Luke 18:12) Likewise, Jehovah ignored the fasts of certain Israelites because of their bad conduct and wrong motives.—Jeremiah 14:12.

These examples show that it is not the act of fasting in itself that pleases God. However, many sincere servants of God who did fast met with divine approval.

There are some sayings that some of us do not like. One in particular i dont like is,"you only go around once"

There wasnt a man greater then Jesus as a teacher. He always had the right answer and taught by using simple methods. Here is what he would have said RE the phrase above.......

“This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”—JOHN 17:3.

Acts 1 6-10
Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?”

He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.

They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.  “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

Happy Ascension Day!

2 Timothy 3King James Version (KJV)

3 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Sums up this world now!!

With some of the Xmas topics going up its a good time to post something here.

Note that 12/25 is NEVER mentioned in bible but every yr we know exact day of Passover because Jesus commanded we remember his death....NOT his birth.Plus even the encyclopedia will back up 12/25 is a pagan holiday. Now let us turn to Mathew 2nd chaptor to see what it reads.

We find the 3 astrologers see a star in the sky that takes them to Jerusalem at first.Jesus and his parents were in Bethlehem.King Herod asks about Jesus and his men tell him he was to be born in Bethlehm from the scriptures. The 3 astrologers are brought before him and they tell Herod they want to do obesiance to him and Herod tells them so does he.But he really wants to kill Jesus.Herod tells the 3 to report back to him after they find Jesus. When the 3 leave the star in the sky moves and ends up right over Jesus and his parents. An angel warns the 3 what Herods intentions are and warns them NOT to report back to him. Here is where the 3 finally are wise. They heed the angels warning and dont report back to Herod.Jesus and his parents are told to go to Egypt.Herod is incensed when the astrologers Dont report back to him and has every 2 yr old male in Bethlehem murdered.

Merry xmas!!

SO.....who placed the star in the sky?The answer will be revealed soon if no one knows, but common sense should make you realize its quite EZ!!

The answer is obvious who placed the star in the sky.It was Gods enemy Satan. He directed the 3 men to Herod at first so Herod could lie to them about how he also wanted to honor Jesus when he really wanted to kill him. After the 3 had their meeting with Herod the star wasted NO time showing moving in the sky right over where Jesus was.Fortunately Gods angel intervened and warned the 3 not to report back to Herod because he wanted to kill Jesus and tell Jesus parents it wasnt safe in Bethlehem and go to Egypt.

Can you imagine the sadness when Herod had all the 2 yr olds killed in Bethlehem when he realized the 3 men were not returning to him?

Merry Xmas

Reminder that Mathew 2nd chaptor backs all this up to the many that think they support bible but celebrate Xmas.
