I'd like to hike, get extremely hot and sweaty, and then jump in an icy, river to swim.  That would be perfect!

It is better to swim at the same time you are hiking.

I am a longtime swimmer. I had been on swimming teams in grammer/High school. I love to swim!! I used to do some hiking but, Age crept up on me. I still swim though!!

Swimming feels soooo good. Especially if you have joint pain. I love to swim. A heated pool or a hot hot day is wonderful!!!!

I have always gone swimming.  But also would hike but now that I can't hike as much anymore I miss it.  But Swimming has become the way that I do things now because it allows me to get some exercise but at the same time it gives me a chance to do something I enjoy.

Swimming is awesome since I grew up close to the beach...That would be the spot every Sunday. Hiking is alright but I prefer the ocean...

Swimming is the best because if you're sweating-how do you know? You're already wet lol

Both, but if I had to pick; it'd be swimming. I could live in the water.

Unfortunately I have never taken any swimming lessons, otherwise I would do both. I can only hike to the mountains and to the canyons where they have waterfalls. This topic should be relocated to the “Off Topic” section.

I like hiking in the mountains. I only want to swim if I can do some serious snorkeling.
