I think in the last few years, the fashion "experts" have decided that is not a rule to follow anymore.  I could be wrong though.  I wear whatever I feel like.

It would be interesting to see the original reason why this rule came into being in the first place. I have never really followed anything like that though I wear what I want, when I want.

I wear white whenever I feel like it.

It started with temperature. Like how you never see black cars in Israel. Dark colors attract heat, and light colors deflect it. So if you wear white when the weather starts changing, you won't be as warm when the cold seasons come.
