Halloween Costumes
« on: September 08, 2011, 08:29:59 am »
If you are celebrating Halloween this year, you probably know that the recession is at hand. Buying costumes is expensive nowadays, and making your own is generally cheaper. Thus, here's the question: are you buying a costume or making one?

Nope, I'm not buying any costumes. I might just buy a bag of candy for myself and call it good :)

I never really have plans for Halloween other than drinking some beer, watching my favorite halloween movies listening to halloween music and handing out candy. I will probably just use an old costume. It isn't really worth it to buy a new costume if I'm not going anywhere.

Neither. I stopped wearing costumes a long time ago.

This year our costumes are going to be partly made and bought!   My daughter wants to be a princess so I got her a really nice costume (fairly cheap) off of Amazon.com   My middle son wants to be Billy the exterminator so his costume is bits and pieces of things we already had here at the house!    We have already started getting the stuff together!    They love it!

Since my children are adults I don't have to buy a costume, but still love Halloween.

My Halloween usually consist of watching The Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline and some scary movie. And pigging out on junk food. Last time I wore a costume for Halloween I was 12, which was 12 years ago...wow when did that happen?
