I don't take Prilosec but my husband does.  He has been for about 5 months now the doctors switched him because zantac was not working.  He doesn't take it like he is suppose to.  He suppose to take 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening.  Forget to take the evening ones, but he needs to.

You are most like right since they do stay in your system for 24 hours.  I can't get him to go to the doctor he hates it. He has to be really sick or in a lot of pain before he goes. He says they always want to give him a shot and he hates needles so he hates doctors.  Thank you for your advice and commit.

I've been on prescribed Prilosec for several years now with no problem. It works. What dangers or side effects have you heard about? Did you ask your Dr. about it?

It must be a guy thing. my Dad/husband/brother NEVER wanted to go to the Drs. My Dad God bless him use to say that once you start going to the Drs that's when you start to go down hill....In a way I believe that  :dontknow:
