Oh no!!  I see women walking around on their lunch breaks with a nice suit on and wearing sneakers...."shudder"!  It looks lame. Are they going jogging in a business suit? Why don't they just wear a comfortable pair of flats. There are so many pretty "business attire" looking flats that would be appropriate with a dress, skirt, or skirt suit. I've have some very feminine leather flats with pointed toes that I wear with suits and they look just fine. In fact they compliment some of my skirts just right.

Depends on what kind of dress it is.  Something like this sneakers would be what you would wear.

Fancy dinner dress? No.

Springy/Summer time  casual dress, yes it is fine. Though it depends on what type of sneaker. Honestly unless it's converse (or the low top shaped) shoes then I don't think it looks good. It's still gotta match too!

I assume most women are wearing them for comfort when walking and change when they get back into their place of work.  I see nothing wrong with that.
