i have to have a firm matress because i have such back issues.  but a matress always gets soft and worn over time, so you would want to get a firm matress so that it will last longer.  if you buy a soft matress from the door, then over time, it will get so mushy that you would just fall right through it.

i like it somewhere in the middle. i don't want one that's all squish that i sink into it but i don't want to feel like i'm sleeping on a rock either.

I like to be in cushiony softness, but my husband prefers a firm and stiff mattress -ick. Which do you prefer?

I prefer a firm mattress.

a firm one is good, it can help you straight your back, of course, soft one make you feel comfortable.

I have a firm mattress but lately I've been waking up with my back hurting and I know its from that mattress.  It's time I got a new one anyway but I'm thinking of getting a temperpedic.  The sleep number bed is just way too expensive.

I prefer firm its hard in the beginning but once you used to it its perfect it provide the support your back needs, after you get used to it and you do in a few days its hard to wake up in the morning complaining from your back

I like my matress to be just in between. I can't stand sinking into a bed thats too soft and I don't like a bed that is as hard as a brick. I like it juuuust right. No stray springs either. Those can be a pain. Literally.

I have a firmer mattress with the pillow top to make it comfortable but need that firmness for my back. I have a pretty good mattress and I'm happy with it

I like firm mattress. Sometimes I sleep on the floor, just how I don't like things jiggly.

Do i have to choose?  I want a firm soft mattress.  Firm in that I don't sink in real far, but soft to where it is extremely comfortable.
