Tell me what you think of this scenario...
« on: September 23, 2011, 09:47:10 am »
I had a best friend since 2nd grade, 13 years we were biffles. I met a guy in the beginning of 2010 & was with him for a year (we lived together). He was a drunk & not exactly a great boyfriend. My best friend didn't really like him, so she said..."you deserve better, but he does love you!"

We had our rough times, good times, too. He was my first love. He meant a lot to me. Towards the end of our relationship, we decided to see other people. I saw this guy a couple times but that was it. My ex started flirting with my friends. I did not like that, i told him anyone BUT my friends, please.

We were still living together, separate rooms. We still acted like bf/gf. So then he started disappearing at night....he wouldn't come home or he would leave after i went to sleep. I called my "bestfriend" & cried to her...asking if she knew where he was. She said she didn't know. This started happening more frequently, sometimes when we fought, but mostly when we didn't. I was confused.

I find out...they kissed each other. I was bothered by it but i didn't let it get in the way.

A week later, my best friend's ex tells me that my boyfriend has been staying the night at her house. I freak out. I keep it to myself until the next time it happens...sure enough, that night he disappears. I confront them both via phone & tell them if they want to be together they can & i kicked his *bleep* out.

My best friend gets furious with me, like its my fault? She tells me i'm overreacting & that he didn't stay the night. She later expressed she lied. From that point on, she chose to be with him, he moved in with her & she says she's happy. She lost me, & she doesn't care...my ex still tries to talk to me, he tells me he still loves me & would have never left if i hadn't kicked him out.

Why is it that my best friend turned into a backstabber & seems to have no conscious? She seems to think that she is better for him & that they get along better than Him & me did. I told her that her relationship with him is going to end up like mine...it's already happening. I'm better off now, it's been 9 months...i'm in school, i'm doing really good.

Good riddance to both of them.

I think your "best friend" was never actually your friend to begin with. Best friends don't do that kind of thing to one another. No man or woman should ever come between them. I think you did the right thing and you should be happy with someone else who understands friendship and intimate relationships better.

You didn't lose anything when you lost those two.  Be thankful.

Isn't there like a code that you don't mess with any of your friends ex's?  She wasn't much of a friend, and who knows how long that could have been going on.  Karma will come there way, and hopefully you will be there to see it.
