So when was the last time you had a family sit down dinner?

 How sad is that but I don’t actually ever recall having one.  I remember eating with my older brother because with a year apart we had the same time schedule.  My younger brother was three years behind me and usually ate by the time my older brother and I got home or way after we ate.  My grandparents and mother ate before we got home and half the time I don’t even see my father because he’s gone before I get up and comes back late.  If there’s no reason to absolutely talk to me, I could go for a day or two without seeing him at all.  I guess I turned out alright but a family dinner was something I would have liked to have.  Now for someone like me it’s just a fantasy.

   Over the years are family sit down dinner's have become less and less! Seems like we only do for Thanksgiving

As I'm currently a family of one, every night is a family sit-down dinner for me!   

I remember growing up, we always had sit-down dinners (and breakfast in the morning) on Sundays and during the week.  Saturday mornings were sketchy, but we still had dinner.  Only rare exceptions was when we got older and one of us was at a sleep over or something.

I know my brother and sisters' families still have sit-down dinners.  Both my sisters' husbands are in the service (one a police officer, the other in the coast guard), so when their husbands are on duty - those nights it's dinner w/o dad; but the rest of the family still sits down.  Nice to know they're trying to keep it going in this hectic world.

as i was growing up we use to have family sit down every night but now that i am older we just do our i own thing me and family do not have the same routine any more so it makes it a lil harder we all work at different times and we all have different things going on now but it is sad how that happens i wish it could be the way it use to be i miss the family sit down dinners

I sit down with my family for 99% of my dinners. Twice a week I eat dinner with my parents. I think it is a great way to bond and keep up with what everyone else is doing.

I don't think I ever had a sit-down family dinner (unless it was a holiday & everyone was there but haven't had these in years). Everyone usually eats at different times and makes their own meals. I've had sit-together meals with other people & their families before, but it's been awhile.

Well its just my husband and I and we eat dinner together everyday.  When My grown children where still living at home we all ate dinner together until we worked different hours of the day.  That was usually my daughter who was not home for supper but her son was here she worked with in home care and there was an old man that she got attached to so she was there for his breakfast and super but he had no one else close so that was a sacrifice for her and she worked there six days a week.
