Touch screen vs. Push button.
« on: September 27, 2011, 12:12:22 pm »
I have an old phone which still has the flip up and the push button.  It works has a few games on it and some music.  I’ve been thinking of upgrating to a new phone and did some research but a lot of my friends have complained about the touch screen.  Most of the time it doesn’t even register you’ve ‘touched’ it so it doesn’t work.  That’s one of the reasons why I haven’t upgraded and doubt I will until my phone actually dies.

I've been using a touch screen only for years. I have never had a problem with it not working.

I think you have to be the judge for that yourself.  I actually like touch screen phones but you can't miss treat them, sit on them, etc.  or they will become unresponsive.

I recently got the iphone but I'm not to fond of the touch screen...I fixed that by getting the stylus for touching the screen.  I'm not a fast texter anyway so that doesn't slow me down much.

i've had a touchscreen for 2 years and never had a problem with it not working, your friends must be doing something wrong. i love my touchscreen. why don't you just get one with a slideout keypad? or just get one with stanford physical buttons, they still sell them. like the LG saber, or LG envoy, plus lots of blackberries are still buttons.

The touch screen is nice for the menus and games, but I really like the buttons for the texts, numbers, etc.

I had a blackberry for years, recently switched to HTC. Texting is a pain, but it is so much faster and there are a million more things to do with it. I love buttons, but they are getting phased out and touch screen phones are getting all the cool stuff.

I like touch screen better but sometimes it can get annoying. Make sure the screen is always clean so it works better for you!!

I like touch screen better, it's definitely harder to text though. But I still like touch screen!
