I get stressed too from my job; I work as a cook, so stress builds up fast. Well what I usually do is listen to some music, watch some tv too and drink your favorite beverage. Hopes this helps.

I tend to run to food when I am stressed usually sweet and chocolate. It is a bad habit but at least I am usually not that stressed out. I'm sure I could find a better way to cope but sweets taste so good.

It may be weird. But I found that fusioncash and other sites like it have helps to keep my mind off of unnecessary things. I guess there are more benefits to these sites than we know! ;)

I second the above.  Going for a good walk while listening to music definitely helps.  So does working with my hands (for me, anyway).

I remarked not long ago that I wanted the T-shirt that says, "I knit so I don't killl people."  Someone who overheard me remarked that her grandmother had had five children; she used to quilt in the summer and crochet in the winter--and her grandmother said  this was the only reason all five of her children had reached adulthood.  So--there's something to this business of keeping something in your hands as often as possible.

I dont always deal with stress the way I should.
However, for the most part I deal with stress by
talking about it to my close friends. I also read, take
walks and talk to God. Sometimes, I try to relax but
that is one thing I have a hard time doing.

My doctor prescribes medication for me. If it wasn't for my doctor I don't know how I would deal with my stress.

Nawwww I don't think edging the grass is weird.  My husband is a landscaper and when he's working he'd his least stressed.  It's practically like meditating for him.  I used to decorate cakes and would loose all track of time.  I would walk away feeling NO stress...I moved out of the bakery department when I blew out my elbow and before even went to work I was stressed...It was crazy. I haven't really figured a new outlet that's allows me to release as decorating did.

Cool, when I'm stressed or sad I go out and buy myself something and I feel much better, of course if I have no money well I have no other destress solution.  :(

I tend to do an incredibly exerting exercise that burns all my energy. I actually found out that I can push my limits this way as the stress gradually turns to adrenaline that I convert into energy.  It's actually a great exercise motivator.  Otherwise, I would simply force my mind to think of nothing and just let time pass.

The way I deal with stress is listening to jazz. It seems to soothe the mind and the soul. It's a good mood changer. :angel12:

My favorite way to beat stress is talking to my friends. No matter what, they will find some way to relate and we laugh about it.
