Nay for me.  I eat well, exercise, and take precaution about being around folks who are sick and seem to stay very healthy.

Flu shots?  Gotta go with a big "Yes" on that one... the concept of utilizing a bit of the bad bugs to activate one's immune system is a clever one indeed.  It does save lives.  I recommend L-Lysine, Vitamin's A, C, and E to help build up and maintain a healthy immune system to reduce side effects of the flu shot and help you to live a better, more healthy life...

:(I GOT MY FLU SHOT LAST WEEK,  I DONT HAVE A CHOICE IT WAS IT THAT OR WEAR A MASK FOR THE WHOLE 8 HOURS I WORK.  NO THANKS TO MASK.  RATHER HAVE THE SHOT AND BE SAFE.

Do you work in health care? My sister is convalescing in a nursing home and we aren't allowed/heavily recommended not  to visit her this week as they are having a flu epidemic..i,e,  everyone is sick.

When I worked for the State School we were forced to have all kinds of vaccines to 'protect' us. I got the HeptacB(sp?) series which, though  I've never had Hepatitis B, I now show to have Hepatitis B every time they do blood work....and...every time I have to go through the spiel...I've had the heptacB vaccine...yadayada...
Yes I do and most of the staff dont want to have the shot or wear mask.  isnt that crazy.  half the staff are afriad of the needle.

I got it this year. I drive a school bus so the county wanted all the drivers to get it. They paid for it as well.

I get one every year.  If you have health problems like asmatha, high blood preasure heart problems, diabetes they reconmend you get a flew shot.  If you are a child they recomend that they get one as well as the elderly.  Also people who work in In Home Healthcare, doctors, nurses this is a protection but it really depends on you you know if you need one or not.

I've heard they're now using different a different type of needle now that is shorter and thinner so it does hurt as much. There is also Nasal mist avaliable too so no needle at all.

I have only had a flu shot once, and that was the year I was pregnant. My daughter gets one every year.

I think we are immunized to death anymore. Our kids have to have so many shots before they even go to school, it's not even funny. While we got some immunizations when we went to school, they weren't very many. Dating myself here, but I remember getting 2 polio shots and the last (3rd) in the series was on a sugar cube. Kinda weird now when I think about it. I've gotten a booster shot and a tetanus shot in school also.

There's a reason we have natural antibodies that are formed in our system after an illness. There's a reason we get the childhood stuff like measles, chicken pox, mumps, etc. No flu shot for me anymore. Last year I was standing in line for one and felt strongly compelled not to take it.....so I didn't. Won't have this one this year either. There have been some complications with the H1N1 virus shots. You had to get 2 shots before, but now everything is included in one shot this year (so they say). I don't trust the government or the Food and Drug Administration to tell me what is to be ingested into my body. I'll be the judge of that. Call me paranoid, but after what I've seen this year among our own political leaders, I'll keep my life in my own hands thank you.

Thing is, the flu virus keeps mutating, or there are so many different strains, that the flu shot you are getting has nothing to do with any new strain of flu that might start making the rounds this season. Any Doc or Pharm will tell you that the flu shot has only the old strains they know about.

I do not want to blame anyone. "The prevention is sometimes worse than the illness". Be careful some people develop side effects!
