YEA! If I wasn't 'well raised' I probably would be on drugs right now because I LOVE shots! However, I do agree that some vaccines need to be tested more regularly. Oh! There is one shot I refused to get, SWINE FLU vaccine! But that disease is over and done ;D

I usually get a flu shot every year, but this year I will have to pass, as I don't have medical coverage an cannot afford it get it.  Just hope the flu bug skips my house.

Flue shot is the weaken version of the Flu. Whatever Flu it may be. Getting a shot is like literally cut someone's skin, and the whole process is discussing. Many people vow to never be doctors as same as many people vow to never take shots.

I got a Flu shot today during my doctors visit. ...

I get one every year, though I have been reading lately about those who swear that they are bad for you.

Sometimes I feel a little sick, but nothing like having the flu and sometimes I feel nothing at all..except the band aid on my arm in the shower because I forgot it was there....

So... Flu Shots.....Yea or Nay?
I say yay  :)

I never take a flu shot either, instead I load up on vitamin C, fruits and vegetable during the flu season. It works for me and my family.

Well....It has been over a week now since I got the shot and I have had no ill effects. Another year, another vaccine.....I'll let you know if I get flu this year or not. I have bad sinuses and am prone to ear infections which lead to a sore throat , then coughing, fever and then....(if I don't go to the doctor...*I tend to play doctor a lot*)..a bad cold or the flu.  :-[

I always wanted to be someone....
I should have been more specific...

I got a flu shot and it worked!
Three days later, I had the flu.
I was lying in bed the other night, looking up at the stars, and thinking, "Where in the heck is my roof?"

Funny how that works, they say you don't get the flu from the flu shot, but I always seem to as well.  I guess I have found that I typically get the flu once a winter, shot or not, so I'll take my chances and let my body do what it's designed to do.  I'm not in an at-risk category, but if I were I would probably go ahead and take the advice to get one.

I don't believe in injecting a strain of flu into your body in order to avoid possibly getting the flu.  For the last seventeen years my wife has gotten the flu shot every year while I have abstained.  My wife has had the flu eight times during that period while  I have only had the flu twice.  My children, ages twelve and fourteen, have never had the shot and never gotten the flu.  Just like with anti-biotics I believe that over prescribing things or trying preventative medicine creates resistance when it is needed.

I will pass on the flu shot.  I don't want to inject a dead virus in to my bloodstream.
There are so many new and changing strands of the flu I'm not sure it would prevent illness.

I am going to have to say no. Never did, probably never will. One needs to take ones age, current medications, and general health into consideration to figure out whether or not a flu shot would be beneficial for them. Also, you need to look into your health care provider and insurance to see if it is covered, because to a lot of people ever penny counts. For now, I'm going to say no. Even though I get sick often I also get reactions to medications so skipping it for me would be playing it safe.

I have only had a flu shot once.  ??? I guess as I get older I should get one every year.  :dontknow: I live in the south and we have much milder winters. 8) I don't frequent many public places everyday, and I carry hand sanitizer. I do believe that children and the elderly should get them every year.
